In the Apostles’ Creed, which was in circulation during the early days of the church, the section specifically concerning the Holy Spirit was very brief, consisting mainly of the profession: “I believe in the Holy Spirit”. By the 4th century, with the development of Trinitarian theology, the divinity of the Holy Spirit and His relationship with the Father and the Son became increasingly important theological issues. It was not until the early 20th century, with the rise of the Pentecostal movement, that discussions concerning the gifts of the Holy Spirit, being filled with the Holy Spirit, and the work of the Holy Spirit gradually gained wider attention within the modern church.
In fact, every Christian ought to have a thorough understanding of the Holy Spirit. Since Jesus’ ascension, the Holy Spirit has been carrying out important work within the church and in the lives of believers.
This book is divided into four sections, comprising a total of 43 chapters. It is hoped that this book will help believers gain a fresh understanding of and trust in the Holy Spirit, and that in these last days, they may come to have a deeper and truer knowledge of Jesus Christ!
